Transforming An Urban Warehouse

Warehouse Extension to Luxury Apartments

By carefully removing the various outbuildings that were added in the 1990s around the existing historical property, the proposed modern addition will be thoughtfully separated by a striking glass slot that allows abundant natural sunlight to flood into the central areas of the residential apartments. The new building will be elegantly finished with a sleek galvanized metal skin and a sophisticated flush window system, while the roof will showcase beautiful angled pitches that take full advantage of direct sunlight, enhancing both aesthetics and energy efficiency.

Sustainable Architects Brighton

At ALTER, we are excited to announce a recent planning submission for our project ‘Gloucester Street’, which is strategically located in the vibrant city of Brighton, as ‘brighton architects’. We have collaborated closely with Colm Mckee from CMK Planning to bring this vision to life as a residential office. The proposed development aims to transform the existing old warehouse building on ‘Gloucester Street’ into a collection of stunning residential apartments while positioning a large, dynamic urban extension to the rear of the building to accommodate a new apartment block.
