Inside Innovation: A First Glimpse at the New Modular Sky Cabin
Conceived as a compact retreat that lightly touches the ground, the modular ‘Sky Cabin’ is our latest exploration of adaptable, future-facing hospitality. Elevated above the landscape, it frames long views while occupying a minimal footprint, creating a quiet counterpoint to dense urban fabric and fragile natural sites alike.
The cabin is designed as a modular system that can stand alone on a remote hillside, sit atop an existing rooftop, or cluster with others to form a micro-resort. A carefully composed envelope of glazing and solid panels draws daylight deep into the interior while controlling heat and glare, ensuring comfort across seasons. Inside, smart storage, multi-use surfaces and transformable furniture enable the compact floorplate to shift between workspace, living area and sleeping zone with ease.
Prefabricated components and low-impact foundations reduce construction time and site disturbance, supporting off-grid options for energy and water where needed. The result is a flexible architectural toolkit rather than a single, fixed object: a cabin that can be assembled, reconfigured or relocated as contexts change. With the modular Sky Cabin, we continue to investigate how architecture can offer both retreat and connection—opening new perspectives above the ground while responding sensitively to the environments below.
